William Andrew Fox

William Andrew Fox, 45, of Abilene, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 28, 2024.  The funeral service will be Friday, December 6, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.  The visitation will be on Thursday, December 5th, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Andrew was born on April 23, 1979, in San Angelo to Bill and Andrea Fox.  He was a freight supervisor for XPO Logistics in Abilene for the past 14 years, who loved fishing, was a master perfectionist at wood working and could play a mean game of cornhole.  Shoes were his fashion statement, always had to wear the newest style. He always made time for his family and friends, his humorous ways of entertaining the crowd, crack jokes and show off his dance moves.  Andrew’s greatest joy in life was becoming a dad. He loved being a dad to Grider and Kenlie, giving support and cheering them on.   He said his life lessons were usually learned the hard way, but he would always find a way to come out on top.  He looked forward to all the family vacations even with rollers coasters that he disliked riding. He enjoyed being competitive when playing video games, board games or any sporting event, he would always have to win. Andrew loved his time with family and friends, this was very important to him.  He’ll be missed by everyone, leaving his infectious giggle and smile with us in memory.

Andrew was preceded in death by his grandmother, Merle Dahl.  He is survived by his wife Melissa Shaw; son Grider Fox; daughter Kenlie Shaw; mother Andrea Dahl; sisters Aneece Juarez and husband Jesse and Kamie Bickerstaff and husband Maison; nephews Keegan Wesley, Kylan Fox, Taos Seller, Westin Sellers and Aiden Holson; nieces Avery Holson and Paisley Shaw; father Bill Fox and step-mother Pamela; mother and father-in-law Debra and Kelly Hart and James and Christy Shaw; brothers Josh Sellers and wife Kyla, Justin Holson and girlfriend Jachlyn Hayhurst and Zachary Shaw; his life-long best friend Buddy Dowden and numerous other close friends.
