Wayne Allen Hunter

Wayne Allen Hunter, 57, of Abilene passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 in Abilene. A service will be held at a later date.

Wayne was born on July 22, 1965 to the late Robert Michael Hunter and Mary Jane Lane in Houston, Texas. Wayne was a kind soul that loved people. He loved music of all kinds and enjoyed spending time with his many friends at the Abilene Adaptive Recreation Center. Wayne participated in many events in Special Olympics, earning many medals.

Wayne is survived by his daughter Ashley Nicole Hunter and his many siblings; Norma Jean Davison, Nathlin Lauraine “Laura” Holbrook and husband David Allen, Rex Michael Hunter, Julianna Lynn “Boo” Green and husband Michael, Dawn Renee Jackson and husband Michael, Robbie Lane Campbell and wife Misty Mae, Johnny Newton Campbell, Shawn Michael Hunter and wife Tonya Lee, Shannon Colleen Hunter and husband Adam Bartlett Poore.
