Robert (Bob) Brand

Robert (Bob) Brand 82 of Abilene, passed away at his home on Thursday December 13, 2018 . A funeral service will be held Saturday December 15, 2018 at 11:30 am in the Chapel at Southern Hills Church of Christ with burial to follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00-5:30 pm at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St.

Bob was born to W.D. and Emma Jean Brand on September 22, 1936. He graduated from Garland High School and East Texas State University (Texas A&M-Commerce). Bob married Danelle Lafferty on August 28, 1959 in Dallas, Texas. They lived in Garland until moving to Abilene in 1971. Bob worked in the printing and office supply business, owning Graphic Products of Abilene. He was actively involved in Austin Street Church of Christ in Garland and Southern Hills Church of Christ in Abilene.

He is survived by his wife, Danelle; son, Michael Brand and wife, Amy, of Shawnee, OK and daughter, Danna Gordon and husband, Brian, of Weatherford; three grandchildren; Whitney Baron, Parker Gordon and Alayna O’Donnell and two brothers; Roger and Dwight Brand. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
