Reba Faye McKeever Kloetzli passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 95 years. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm on Saturday September 30, 2017 in the Chapel at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. A private family graveside service will be held at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Reba was born on January 3, 1922 to Edward and Lovie Shaw McKeever in Marlow, Oklahoma. She was the fifth of seven children. They all grew up in Marlow, where they worked in the cotton fields as children. She married Marlin Hoffman and had two children, Delores Jeanie and Larry Dean Hoffman.
In 1949, she moved to San Francisco, California. She married Ernest Kloetzli and had two children, Bonnie and Steven. She lived and worked in San Francisco until 2001, when she moved to Abilene.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Kloetzli; her parents, Edward and Lovie McKeever; two sisters, Letha and Lola McKeever; her brothers Glendon, Floyd, Raymond and Edward McKeever and a grandson, Michael.
She is survived by her children; Jeanie Hoffman Claxton (Jerry), Steven Kloetzli (Kathy) and Bonnie Kloetzli Campbell; grandchildren Ricky Claxton (Jennifer), Toney Claxton (Sherry), Mischell Utter (Chris), Melissa Newberry (Shayne) and Haleigh Kloetzli Beck (Chris) as well as 11 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Jordans Healthcare, Generations Home Health, the health providers, nurses and doctors at Hendrick Medical Center, The Oaks at Radford Hills and Hendrick Hospice for all the loving care that was given to Reba.
