Margie L. Anderson

Margie Newhouse Anderson was born on July 31, 1934 to Bright and Willie Newhouse at their farm home near Roby, Texas.  She passed away in Abilene on February 1, 2024.  She is survived by her husband Charles Anderson, Sr. and their two sons Charles Anderson, Jr and wife Shannel and Marcus Anderson and wife Karen, one brother Don Newhouse, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

Spending time with her children and grandchildren was always a priority for Margie and she loved them all dearly.  She was a supportive wife to her husband of nearly 69 years Charles whom she met in 1954 while attending Abilene Christian College.  Margie was a strong Christian woman that focused much of her energy on ensuring that her family had a safe and loving home.

A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 9:00 am in the auditorium of Hillcrest Church of Christ in Abilene with a service to follow at 10:00 am.  There will be a graveside service in Roby later in the day at 2:00 pm.
