Linda Faye Thomas

Linda Faye (Lucas) Thomas, 68 of Abilene, born September 21, 1948 in Abilene, passed into our Lord’s embrace on Saturday, September 16, 2017 while surrounded by her beloved family.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.  A time of visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Linda married the love of her life, Weldon Thomas, on June 1, 1963 and together they raised a strong, loving family.  Linda had a great love for life.  She enjoyed many hobbies, including bowling, bingo, shopping with her girls and playing Wahoo.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Tommy Lucas, her mother Mildred (Lucas) Sprinkle, stepfather Cecil Sprinkle and an older sister.  She leaves behind many loved ones; her “Honey” and best friend of 54 years, Weldon Thomas; three sons, Russell Thomas and wife Neva, Richard Thomas and wife Marie and Weldon Thomas, Jr.; nine grandchildren, Robert, Davin, Russell Jr., Sara, Charles, Kaitlin, Devyn, Kaylee and Sydney; her sister Brenda Kaye Newsome and numerous great-grandchildren.
