On July 14, 1959 Lewis D (Wayne) Rudder was born in Odessa, Texas to Roy and Sue Rudder.  He was raised in Eula and lived in Abilene and the surrounding area for most of his life.  He did attend school for a time in Lima, Peru where his dad was working in the oil industry.  He loved to put the Spanish he learned there to good use making friends in Abilene.  He met the love of his life Debra Boyd in 1985 and they were together every day after for more than 35 years.

Wayne never met a stranger.  Through the years Wayne made many friends while hunting for a deal at Auction.  He loved camping and fishing with his family and was always interested in the sports that his grandkids were playing.  He especially loved football.   For 23 years Wayne worked for Vulcan Materials, he started as a driver and worked his way to Truck Pusher.  His pride and joy were all of his kids and grandkids.

Preceding Wayne in death were his parents Roy and Sue Rudder, a brother Michael Rudder and a sister Deborah Sue Powers.  He is survived by his loving wife Debra, son Micheal Dewayne Rudder and wife Jillian, daughters, Amber Shaina Watkins and husband Joshua and Cathy Young and husband Mark, a brother Roy Rudder Jr and wife Katrina, honorary son Namon Kanady and wife Marion, six grandchildren; Aislinn, Colton, Abree, Reese, Taylor, Grayson and six great grandchildren; Leah, Jordon, Sam, Paige, Gage and Shawn.   He is also survived by many other extended family members and close friends.
