Leticia Gonzales Cano

Leticia Gonzales Cano, 51, of Abilene, passed away on Sunday, August 8th, 2021.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 at Piersall Funeral Directors with Paster Ambrosio Montoya officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Leticia was born August 21st, 1969 in Abilene to Magdaleno “Mack” Gonzales and Yolanda Perez. She was raised in Abilene with her four siblings. Leticia attended American Commercial College and received her certification in Medical Billing and went on to become a patient advocate.

In 2001 Leticia met Ricardo Cano at Lantrips. They were married in Abilene in February of 2009. Together they had 5 children. Leticia was loving wife, a supportive mother and a caring grandmother. She knew how to make you laugh and have a good time. She loved hosting any party and was a crafty person who loved decorating for all holidays. She was a devoted friend, and her arms were open for anyone who needed a helping hand. She loved dressing up in bright colors and jewelry, having her doggies by her side, being outside in the fresh air, and watching true crime, Judge Judy, and Mysteries at the Museum. She was the life of the party.

Leticia is survived by her husband Ricardo Cano, her children, Angela and husband Joey, Jaime, Roberta and husband Nelson, and Symone.  Her grandchildren Victoria, Laura, Jose, Javier, and Abraham Damian, Daviano, Jaime, and Tristyn Guajardo, and Sophia, and Thiago Mota. In addition, she is survived by her mother Yolanda Zuniga, her brother Gabriel Zuniga and wife Angelica, sisters; Terri Zuniga and husband Brannon Chatham and Yolanda Gonzales as well as many other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, a brother Richard and her son Ricardo Cano, Jr.
