LeaAnne (Higgins) Harkleroad 63, of Hamby Texas, passed away on Saturday December 4 th , 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on December 8 th , 2021 at 3 Crosses Cowboy Church Abilene Texas. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. on December the 9 th , 2021 at Loving Cemetery in Loving Texas.
LeaAnne was born on July 23, 1958, in Ft. Worth Texas. She was adopted in 1965 by her parents Robert and Velda Higgins. She and her brothers Ed and Bill and sister Denease, grew up in Ft Collins Colorado. Where she graduated from Poudre High School in 1976. She continued her education later in life and graduated with Phi Theta Kappa honors from T.S.T.C in 2007.
She married Larry Harkleroad in September 2011. She and her husband lived in the community of Hamby. They attended 3 Crosses Cowboy Church and watched the church grow from an idea to the beacon of hope and love that it is now. She loved her home, she loved her neigbors, and loved her church. LeaAnne was all about love. Her world revolved are her family. She had 2 girls Amanda and Melissa and they gave her 8 grandchildren that call her granny, and 2 great grandchildren that know her as GiGi. She had 2 bothers and 2 sisters and adopted children and grandchildren. She surrounded herself with people to love.
LeaAnne work at Blue Cross Blue Shield and had just received accommodation for 5 exemplary service. She loved her job and was very good at it.
She is survived by her husband Larry, daughters Amanda and Melissa, sisters Denease and Suezette, brothers Ed and Bill. 10 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents Bob and Velda, her biological parents Cordus and Mary Lee, her grandparents Clarence and Cansada, Charly and Maude, Earnest and Willie, aunts, uncles and cousins.
