Larry Roy Vargas

Larry Roy Vargas passed away peacefully at 12:15 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the age of 67 surrounded by his loved ones.

Larry was born on November 26, 1957, to parents Reynaldo and Marjorie Vargas in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England.  Larry was preceded in death by his loving father Reynaldo Vargas.

Larry is lovingly remembered by his children, Jennifer Webber, Kevin Vargas, Kelly Ness and Jordan Vargas.  His grandsons, Derek and Dawson Webber, sons of Jennifer and Dean Webber of Abilene, Texas and Hayden and Dylan Ness, sons of Kelly and Shawn Ness of Germany.  His brother Glen and wife Barbara of Atlanta, Georgia and their children, Andrew of San Francisco, California and Amanda Vargas of Washington, D.C., and his mother Marjorie Vargas of Abilene.

Larry was a great man who deeply cared for his family.  He loved to be near the water whether it was a lake or ocean.  He loved riding his motorcycles, watching race cars, and enjoyed watching movies.  Larry's life was cut short after a battle with early onset Alzheimer's.  Although he suffered in the last few months, he was always able to express his love for his children and grandchildren, as well as keep his sense of humor.  One of the greatest gifts that Larry left his family was the gift of knowing the importance of time spent with those you love.  He frequently tried to express that he wished he had more time.  Larry helped us all to realize how fleeting our time on earth is and how important it is to give the gift of time to the ones you love.
