He was born on Friday, July 13, 1957 at Hendrick Medical Center. He graduated Abilene High School in 1975. He worked at local hotspots, The Torch and Larry's Burger, as a teenager. He worked at Cottingham Bearing and later opened Abilene Bearing with his older brother Tom. Later, he found his life's passion when working for Blue Buffalo promoting pet food products. He boasted with pride watching the company flourish as he put everything he had into taking care of his clients. He traveled thousands of miles, hosted numerous events, and made friends with countless people along the way. He loved meeting new people and teaching others about a company he whole-heartedly loved. He was well respected by his colleagues and looked forward to seeing them for conventions, meetings, and trade shows. He worked with Blue until his illness prevented him from working.
He was a dedicated and self-less father. He beamed with pride over his three children and loved spending time with his grandkids. He was an avid Texas Tech Football Fan and enjoyed attending and watching games with his family. He was a gentle giant and never met a stranger. His hugs and laughter warmed the hearts of anyone who met him. He was a kind soul and would do anything and everything he could to help others. He was a bright spot in the lives of many.
Survivors include his children: Lindsey and Jonathan Martinez, Lance and Shannon Roberson, Luke and Heather Roberson. Five grandchildren: Mason Coe, Brody Martinez, Paige Roberson, Brooklyn Roberson, Morgan Roberson. His mother, Jo Roberson. Two brothers, Tom and Bill Roberson. He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Roberson. Numerous cousins, friends, and cherished colleagues at Blue Buffalo.
