Kimberly Kay Clements, 57 of Abilene, passed away suddenly, on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Hendricks Medical Center North in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street, with her Uncle, Danny Welch, officiating. A visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Kimberly was born October 8, 1964 in Houston, Texas to Clifford Don Welch and Betty Beatty Welch Leonard, graduated from Lamesa High School in 1983 and married Stephen Lynn Clements, June 1, 1991 in Lamesa, Texas. She started working while in high school at A. G. Waugh Auto Parts Store, in Lamesa and continued that career path, until her untimely passing. She could help you with any auto part, you needed, if you told her the problem. When she relocated with her family to Abilene, she continued her career in the automotive industry, working for Napa Auto Parts, until her untimely passing, for 21 years.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Don Welch, her stepfather, James Charles Leonard, Sr., her in-laws, Jimmy and Ann Clements and numerous other family members.
Kim is survived by her husband, Stephen, her son Blake Clements and daughter, Stephanie Clements, two grandchildren Val and Azaela Perez. Her two grandchildren were her bright and shining stars. Her mother, Betty Leonard, of Lamesa, Texas. Sisters Radonda Smith and Tammy Seely of Lamesa, Texas. Belinda Jo Doyle & husband Rick of Andrews, Texas. Brothers Ben Leonard & wife Audra of Greenwood, Texas and J.C. Leonard & wife Merri Jo Leonard of Duncan, Oklahoma and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
