Annie Kay Procter, 81 of Abilene, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021. A funeral service will be on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Baker Heights Church of Christ, with burial at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene at 1:00 p.m. A time of visitation with the family will be on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.
Kay was born on June 19, 1939 to Samuel Thomas and Essie Viola Day in Yoakum County, Texas. She married Ralph Procter and settled in Abilene. Ralph and Kay were members at the Baker Height Church of Christ.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, her brothers Elvin and Foy and her sisters Etta, Veta and 2 sisters who died in infancy. She is survived by her sons Robert Richardson and wife Brenda of Browns Mill, New Jersey and Tommy Richardson of San Antonio; daughters Bobbie Sudbury and husband Robert of Abilene, Teresa May of Royce City, Texas and Candie Stevens of Abilene; sisters Faye, Jackie and Vesta; along with 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
