Jimmy Clements, 80 of Abilene, passed away at a local care center on Friday May 4, 2018. A graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday May 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Texas State Veteran Cemetery under the direction of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St.
Jimmy was born in Wichita Falls on June 1, 1937 to Elmer and Rosa Clements. He was raised in Wichita Falls and graduated from high school there. He married Anna Smith on June 2, 1956 in Wichita Falls. In 1961, Jimmy entered the Army and served honorably for 3 years. After his service, they moved to Abilene where they raised their son Steve. Jimmy worked for the city of Abilene for 17 years in the sanitation dept. He loved fishing and playing with his great-grand kids.
Surviving Jimmy are his loving wife Anna Clements, a son Steve and wife Kim of Abilene, a sister Earlene Pebworth of Wichita Falls, Texas, grandchildren; Blake Clements and Stephanie Clements and great-grandchildren Val and Azaela Perez all of Abilene as well as other extended family members and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Rosa Clements.
