Beloved husband, father and friend, Jerry C Varnado passed
away on December 9th while surrounded by family. He was 80
years young.
He was a hospital administrator for over 40 years before he
retired. He currently loved working at STAR DODGE. Everyone
loved working with Mr. V. His sense of humour and wit were
legendary, and he had the coolest baritone chuckle.
Jerry loved life! And he loved hiking Big Bend and the Sierra
Nevada’s, hunting, fishing, water skiing, yoyo’s, the sizzling
777’s, smarties, puttering around the house, collecting bargains,
and of course lots of coffee. All of the above had to be done with
his boots on.
He was admired by all who knew him. He was a brilliant
businessman and Jack-of-all-trades McGyver. He could fix
everything with duct tape and post it notes. He had a tremendous
work ethic. His strength of character was admirable and
incomparable. His acts of selflessness touched the lives of so
many. So many miles were driven in order to be there for friends
and family.
We can still hear him say his famous words of wisdom, “patience
and perseverance.” He was tough as boot leather with a heart of
gold. Cross that river to God’s Country and rest in peace.
He is survived by his wife Mollie.
