Jeraldine (Jeri) Rose

Jeraldine “Jeri” Rose, 83 of Abilene, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021.  Funeral service will be on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.  Burial will follow at the Lamesa Memorial Park/Dawson County Cemetery in Lamesa, Texas at 2:30 p.m.

Jeri was born on December 23, 1937 in Tahoka, Texas to Louis and Eva Bell Hyles.  She was simple woman of modest means who loved her family with all her heart.

Jeri was preceded in death by her parents, husband Johnny McKinney and husband Jim Rose, and her 3 brothers, Lowell Montgomery, Charles Hyles and James Hyles.  She is survived by her children Janice McKinney of San Marcos, Texas; Judy Ridgway and husband Mike of Abilene; Johnny McKinney of Austin and Robby McKinney and wife Jina of Waxahachie, Texas; grandchildren Paul Simpson and wife Katelyn, Daniel Simpson, Evan Simpson, Johnny White, Lee Youmans and wife Kyle, Brianna Grigsby, Amber Jaeger and husband Cameron, Joshua McKinney and Hayden McKinney; plus 12 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
