Jennifer Joy Dutton, 81, of Abilene, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Arrangements under the direction of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.
Jennifer was born in Ipswich, England to George and Muriel Coates. After school Jennifer worked at primary school for girls and then met the love of her life David Dutton, an airman stationed in England. They married July 9, 1958. While in the military they traveled within the U.S., England and Philippines. After retiring from the military, they settled in Benbrook Texas. They worked together raising five children - Cheryl, Craig, Marcelle, Phillip, Timothy.
She loved to cook, garden, knit, crafts and taking care of her animals which, she loved sharing with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband David of 55 years, sons Craig and Timothy.
She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Mann and husband William of San Antonio, Marcelle Winward and husband James of Abilene, and son Phillip of Arlington. She is also survived by her grandchildren Sarah Blackmon and husband Jason, Emily Winward and partner Gus Mauldin. Great grandchildren Anthony Diaz, Madden Diaz and Carter Blackmon.
The family would like to thank all the people at the Beehive Assisted Living facility who helped take care of her while she was there.
