James Robert Clark, 78, of Abilene, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021. A memorial service will be on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.
James was born on November 6, 1942 in Syracuse, New York to Robert and Harriett Clark. At an early age, James moved to Abilene with his parents and never left. He was an outdoorsman and a cowboy who preferred fishing and working odd jobs. He was a true jack-of-all-trades. James enjoyed shooting pool at the Senior Center and would frequent yard sales and flea markets…he loved the art of trading.
James was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his brother Russell Clark and wife Kerry of Marble Falls, Texas, and his nephews Matthew and Mason Clark and niece Gabrielle Clark, plus other cousins. He is also survived by his best friend Barbara Jo Duggan and friends Preston Powers, Tom Jones and Eunice Jewell.
