Irene Hare was born July 7, 1929 to Charlie and Cora Jones in Crossfield Alberta, Canada. She married her loving husband Loyd Hare in Reno, Nevada in 1946 and together they raised three sons Charles, Steven and Bill. Irene was a devoted wife to her husband Loyd who was a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force.
The following are some words that Irene had written for us to share with her family and friends:
My body will be buried in the ground. God will be in charge of my soul. Do not be sad for me but be happy that I am going to be with my Heavenly Father. I have lived far beyond my expectations of life on earth and have had a happy and fulfilling life with many wonderful fulfilling experiences. My family are so dear to me and though I have not climbed any mountains, I feel content that my children and grandchildren love and respect me as a Christian wife, mother and grandmother.
I would not change much of my life and have made many mistakes and have lived with them, but know I believe in a gracious, forgiving and loving God. I pray he will have mercy on me, a sinner…
Irene is survived by three sons; Charles Hare (Pat), Steve Hare (Marilyn), and Bill Hare (Debbi). She is also survived by six grandchildren; Dawn Custer (Kevin), Joshua Hare (Meg), Alison Hughes (Blake), Rachel Meyer (David), Madison Hare and Katherine Hare, as well as nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by an “adopted” granddaughter Lindsey Motes (Alan) and their children. as well as many other extended family members and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Loyd, and six siblings.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the team of people at both Wisteria Long Term Care and Hendrick Hospice who provided amazing care to our mother. Their kindness and compassion made her final days peaceful and comfortable, and for that we are eternally grateful.
