Throughout the ages, God has created special individuals whom He has gifted to impact His work here on earth.
Glenda Nell Satterwhite was such a person. She passed away peacefully at home early January 29, 2018 at the age of 77. She was born on February 9, 1940 in McKinney, Texas to the late Alton and Mary Nell Garner. She and her husband of 57 years, Tom Satterwhite, were married on February 12, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
She was a talented, knowledgeable individual and the perfect pastor’s wife. She and Tom had two daughters, Kimberly Howell and husband John and Alicia Reddell and husband Dennis. Glenda was a crafter. She loved sewing and even within the last few years, she made doll clothes fashioned after the movie “Frozen” for several small girls at church. For several years, she decorated the front yard to match the season of the year. Flowers on the patio was something she worked at, as well as raising and eating tomatoes. Her senior year at Wichita Falls High School, she served as president of the National Honor Society. She attended Abilene Christian University, Mary-Hardin Baylor University and Ranger Junior College.
Glenda is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Derek Reddell and wife Hayden, Luke Howell, Ashley Simpson and husband Mike and Sarah Reddell. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Garner.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Potosi Baptist Church with pastor Keith Clifton officiating and Dr. Larry Tarver assisting. Services under the direction of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.
