Glen Simpkins

Glen Simpkins, 61 of Abilene, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.  A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.at the Abilene City Cemetery.  Arrangements under the director of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.

Glen was born in Abilene on January 13, 1962 to Jimmie Earl and Christine Simpkins.  Glen lived in Abilene his entire life and was a proud employee at Hendrick Medical Center North, where he worked in the kitchen as a dishwasher and pot scrubber.  He enjoyed playing softball with his father, brother and brother-in-law.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, brother Roy Lynn Simpkins, niece Jenny Sommers and nephew Larry Sommers.  He is survived by his sister Gwen Sommers and husband Larry, sister Judy Price and brother Roger Simpkins.
