Gene Hudson

April 12, 1973 — August 20, 2017

Frank “Gene” Hudson, III, 44 of Abilene, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.

Gene was born on April 12, 1973 in Abilene to Eugene and Elaine Hudson. At the age of 22, Gene started working for FM 600 Wrecking. He was a Loss Prevention Specialist, but to his coworkers, he was the “Human Computer.” Gene had two daughters, Christian and Charity, whom he loved very much. He would keep and write notes on every little piece of paper the gave him. He enjoyed playing golf with his brother Charles, loved to go dove hunting and would spend hours talking on the phone to anyone who would talk back to him. Gene had a giving heart. He would help people in need and was always there to assist his family with anything they needed. His favorite place to visit was the Texas coast, and even though he was at the beach, Gene would still be wearing his trademark boots, jeans and cowboy hat.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Eugene Hudson, Jr. and Linda Hudson. He is survived by his mother, Elaine Bean of Haltom City; grandmother Louise Hudson of Abilene; daughters Christian Hudson-Wallis of Trent and Charity Hudson-Wallis of Wichita Falls; sisters Tracy Walter of North Richland Hills and Susan Andrus of Austin and a brother, Charles Andrus of Austin; longtime girlfriend Flora Gonzalez and her family; plus many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
