Frank Luna, Jr.

Frank Luna, Jr., our Loving Husband and Father, left this world suddenly on Friday, July 9, 2021 at age 55.  Funeral service will be on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.  Burial will follow the service at Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery.  A visitation with the family will be on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Frank was born on May 6, 1966, in Rotan, Texas to Frank Sr. and Zenaida Luna.  He graduated from Abilene High School in 1984 and received an associate degree in Robotics from Texas State Technical Institute.  He began his career at Alton’s Sewing Machine Co. in 1984, working for Alton and Joyce Robeson and purchased the business in 1991. Frank was a kind and patient man and prided himself in providing excellent service for his customers.

He married his high school sweetheart, Kay Robeson, on May 13, 1989 and had two precious daughters that he adored, Stephanie Elaine Luna and Erin Elizabeth Luna.  In 2020 he was blessed by becoming a Pop-Pop to his Ellie-bug, Elizabeth Joyce De La Paz.

Frank and Kay loved to travel, and he loved playing golf with his dad who was his best friend.

Frank is survived by his wife, Kay Luna of Abilene; two daughters, Stephanie Elaine Luna and Erin Elizabeth Luna and husband Eliseo De La Paz of Abilene, one granddaughter Elizabeth Joyce De La Paz; his parents, Frank Sr. and Zenaida Luna of Abilene; five sisters, Nina Martinez of San Antonio, Donna Shroyer and husband Bruce Shroyer of Abilene, Angie Luna of Abilene, Carolyn Wyatt of Abilene, and Shirley Luna of Abilene; many nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rosa Reyna Botello and Antonio Luna, his maternal grandparents Bonifacio and Ramona Barrera, two aunts and one uncle, his In-Laws, Alton and Joyce Robeson, and great nephew Joe Nick Acosta.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Luna, Eddie Lomas, Jr., Sam Robeson, Shawn Robeson, Bryan Robeson and Lance Robeson.
