Francisco G. Garcia, 71, of Abilene, passed away at his home on Friday, March 1, 2024. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street. Funeral service will be on Friday, March 8, 2024 in the chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors at 10:30 a.m., with burial at Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery to follow.
Frank was born in Alpine, Texas on May 5th, 1952. Later in life, he moved to Abilene and married his wife Margarita Santana of Chihuahua, Mexico. Frank spent much of his time working at odd jobs here and there, but the job he enjoyed the most was as a auto detailer at the Flores Detail Shop. In his spare time, Frank enjoyed spending time with his family & friends and going to bingo. Frank was an amazing man who had lots of stories to tell and loved to make people laugh.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother Eufemia Gomez, father Gregorio Garcia, sons Sammie Hernandez Garcia, Frankie Hernandez Garcia and Daniel F. Flores, sisters Virginia Herrera, Gregoria Moreno and Celia Barrera, and brother Carlos Garcia.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife Margarita Santana Garcia; daughter Maryjane Garcia of Dumas, Texas; son Andy Garcia of Dumas; step-daughter Brenda Santana Taboada of Chihuahua, Mexico; grandson Albert Santana of Abilene; sisters Gloria Garcia of Abilene, Easter Valdez of Presidio and Maria Garcia of Odessa; and brother Gregory Gomez Garcia, Jr.; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
