Ellen Fay "Meme" Cargill

Ellen Fay “meme” Cargill, 68, passed away at a local medical center on May 7, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday May 11, 2018 in the chapel at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street, Abilene, Texas.

Ellen Fay was born in Roscoe, Texas to Edwin Green and Velma Doggett Green. She was raised in Abilene and she grew up loving to read and watch movies about the old west. Ellen loved to study the Bible and attended church regularly at Fountaingate Fellowship. She loved her dogs and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who lovingly called her “meme”. She never knew a stranger.

Surviving Ellen is her son Audrey Leverel Cargill, Jr and wife Darla; her daughters, Stephania Bishop, Debbie Molina and Ellen Denise Richards; Sisters Zona Odis and Jane Dalton; step-sister Brenda Newsome; half-sister Wanda Davis and half-brothers Robert Watkins and John David Watkins; grandchildren Eric, Joshua, Aaron, Caitlyn, Megan and Daniel Molina; Barbara Henry and Sierra Rose; and her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jayce, Isaiah, Ava and Elan Molina; Victoria Aguilar, Asher Rose, Erin Watts and Kevin, Kenley, Jeremiah and Ja’Kiah Henry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Audrey Cargill; half-brother W.D. “Bill” Watkins; step-sister Linda Thomas and grandson Andrew Reid. Ellen Fay will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
