Dwain Carlisle

Alpha Dwain Carlisle; beloved father, grandfather, and Korean War Veteran; entered the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ on August 6, 2021.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.

Dwain was the fourth child of O.N. and Gladys Cleo Pittman Carlisle, born on the 3 ^rd of April, 1932 in Mullins, Texas.  He will be remembered for his integrity and love of his family.  Dwain married Pearline Marie Irvin on February 14, 1951, and they made Abilene their lifetime home.

Dwain is survived by his daughters; Cynthia Queen and husband Jerry of Abilene, Holly Good and husband David of Decatur, Illinois, and Kim Griffith of Abilene; his beloved grandchildren remember their “Grandaddy” as the best; Jerry Cavitt and wife Leah of Marble Falls, Texas, Dr. Courtney Queen of Abilene, Michael Queen of Austin, Brett Good and wife Alyssa of Nashville, Tennessee, Christopher Good and wife Brittany of Boise, Idaho, Abbey Dullaway and husband James of Plano, Texas and Zachary Griffith of Abilene.  He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
