Dorothy Mccraw

Dorothy Lillian McCraw, 98 of Abilene, passed away at a local care center on December 15, 2019. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at Second Baptist Church, 901 Victoria with Pastor Larry Hooper officiating. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St.
Dorothy was born September 28, 1921 outside of Anson, Texas to Andy and Roxie Sprayberry. She was raised in the Abilene area and spent most of her life here. She worked for over 16 years at Furrs cafeteria. Dorothy was a devout Christian and longtime member of Second Baptist Church.
Preceding Dorothy in death are her parents, husbands; Buddy Box and Glenn McCraw, children; Nancy Jo Rouse, Bonnie Marie Thomas and Linda Lou Lang and granddaughter Debbie.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Martin and husband Joe, son Gary Box and wife Gail, twelve grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great-grandchildren as well as many other extended family members and close friends.
