Dolores L. Rodriguez

Dolores "Lola" Lozano Rodriguez, 76 years old, of Abilene, TX, a radiant light in our lives and a beautiful soul left this earth and joined our Lord and Savior peacefully on Friday November 22, 2024 surrounded by the love of her family. Her spirit, unwavering strength, warmth, and deep love for her family will forever be cherished by all who knew her. Lola was born on March 12, 1948 to the late Daniel and Irene (Galvan) Lozano, and later married the love of her life Frank C. Rodriguez Sr. on January 30th 1963, where they built a beautiful life together.

A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Lola was a ray of light and hope to all that knew and encountered her. In her leisure time she was an avid cook, crafter, and thrifter/shopper that could always find a great deal. She embraced life with arms wide open, finding joy in the little things, like cooking for her family, family gatherings, and especially the memories made with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her infectious laugh and smile will forever echo through our memories. She will be greatly missed, but through the sadness it brings comfort to our hearts to know that she is at peace, no longer in pain, and has finally reunited with her love dancing in heaven with him and her late children Stephen Rodriguez and Peggy Martinez. She leaves behind a legacy of love and tradition that will continue to guide us.

Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Frank C. Rodriguez, daughter Peggy Martinez, son Stephen Rodriguez, parents Daniel and Irene Lozano, great grandchildren Alexander and Bryson Connor and Janiya Martinez, brothers Alex Lozano, Armando Lozano, Roy Lozano, Manuel Lozano, Luis Lozano, Daniel Lozano Jr., and sisters Olivia Lugo and Arminia Rodriguez.
She is survived by her loving children and their spouses Frank Rodriguez and wife Margarita, Lisa Alardin and husband Chito, Ricky Rodriguez and wife Eneida, Laura Gonzales and husband Jay, Michael Rodriguez and wife Amanda, brothers Carlos Lozano, Gabriel Lozano, Reginaldo Lozano, and Samuel Lozano all of Anson, TX; 22 grandchildren Krystal Chesser, Kayla Torres, Hope Alardin, Chris Martinez, Ricky Rodriguez Jr., Jeremy Rodriguez, Adam Rodriguez, Jesse Gonzales, Trisstain Gonzales, Tabitha Gonzales, Phillip Gonzales, Sarah Gonzales, Jesse Rodriguez, Tiffany Rodriguez, Stephanie Rodriguez, Dolores Rodriguez, Frank Rodriguez, Stephen Martinez, Richard Martinez Jr., Mariah Rodriguez, Malachi Rodriguez, Majesty Rodriguez, 31 great grandchildren Rylan, Gabby, Adalynn, Easton, Annaleah, Brielle, Kamila, Raelyn, RJ, Jude, Aliana, Miana, Aviana, Grayson, Jeremiah, Adalina, Jaciann, Tayvian, Paris, Noel, Niyelli, Cameron, Anbriel, Andrew, Myrakle, Mykael, Richard III, Lorenzo, Mariah, Stephen, Zaine, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her sweet dog Penny.

Visitation will be held Monday November 25, 2024 at Piersall Funeral Home located at 733 Butternut Abilene, TX 79602 from 6:00 PM- 7:00 PM with Rosary to follow from 7:00 PM-8:00 PM. Funeral service and mass will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 2010 Co Rd 477, Anson, TX 79501 with burial to follow after at Mount Hope Cemetary in Anson, TX.
