Dicky Wayne Anderson, 66 of Abilene, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 25, 2021. A graveside service will be at the Eastland Cemetery on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation with the family on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.
Dicky was born on December 30, 1954 in Brady, Texas to Billy Harold and Anita Faye Anderson. He graduated from Eastland High School then continued his education at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. There, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and met Katherine, his wife of 43 years. He was self-employed and enjoyed numerous outdoor activities with family and friends.
Dicky was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Anita Anderson. He is survived by his wife Katherine; son William Ramby Anderson and wife Lacey of Albany and daughter Amy Braden of Abilene; sister Debbie Wages and husband George of Nacogdoches, Texas; and grandchildren Page, Pearson and Anderson Braden and Ryder Anderson.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Meals on Wheels, 717 N. 10 th Street, Abilene, Texas, 79601.
