Diane Darby

Wilma “Diane” Darby, 55 of Hutchins, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 in a Dallas hospital.  Funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.  A visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Diane was born on January 9, 1963 in Abilene to Carolyn Sue Deen and Harry Jackson Davis.  She was raised in Abilene and worked for Banyan International for 15 years.  Diane later relocated to Ferris, Texas, where she worked for the last 12 years as the office manager for Darby Diesel in Hutchins.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband Earl Darby, her step-father Loyd Roberts, sister Regina Roberts and brothers Danny Roberts and Loyd Roberts, Jr., and her grandparents, Bruce and Wilma Deen and Marshall and Lillian Davis.  Diane is survived by her mother, Sue McDeall; father Jack Davis; daughters Alyssa Vandeventer and husband Robert, Ashley Parker and Leann Thompson and husband Kevin; sons Michael Darby and wife Ann and Levi Darby; sisters Debbie Skiles and husband Jackie, Toni McDonald and husband Jerry, Linda Trissell and Dianna Stelle; brothers Bill Roberts and wife Mary Jane and Jo Roberts, Sr.; grandchildren Tylar and Lacye Parker; Kyla and Rebekah Vandeventer; Lloyd and Terri Bullard; Trent, Madison and McKenzie Darby and Wyatt Darby and Lydia Darby; nieces Brittney Wieldt, Crystal Parks and husband Sonny and Amanda McDonald and husband Jesse; nephews Cody McDonald and wife Lauren and Jeremy McDonald and wife Hilary; plus several great nieces and nephews and friends.

Pallbearers for the service will be Cody McDonald, Jeremy McDonald, Ricky Daniels, Nickolas Rosales, Doug Phariss and Jason Melville.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Wayne “Mud flap” Daniel.
