Danny C. Myrick

Danny C. Myrick, 88 of Abilene, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024.  A visitation for the public will be on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.  A family only graveside service will be on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cross Plains Memorial Park Cemetery on Chestnut Street in Cross Plains, Texas, under the direction of Piersall Funeral Directors.

Danny was born on January 4, 1936 in May, Texas, the youngest of 4 children, to C.R. and Correta Myrick.  A 1953 graduate of Cross Plains High School, Danny married his high school sweetheart, Glendora Raughton on November 7, 1953.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings.  He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Glendora; son Wade Myrick and wife Misti and daughter Samie Myrick Shannon and husband Michael; grandchildren Sonya Myrick Roberts and husband Johnny, Chandy Ashenfelter Hewitt, Gentry Ashenfelter and wife Jennifer and Beau Myrick and wife Julianna; plus 7 great grandchildren.
