Charlotte Ruth Harendt, 66 of Abilene, was called to her Heavenly Home on Monday, November 6, 2017. As per he wishes, her body was cremated and will be interred at the family plot at the Dixie Cemetery in Oklahoma.
Charlotte was born to Herman and Betty Hill at Fort Sill, Oklahoma on January 19, 1951. She enjoyed to travel and meet new people. She was a firm believer in pay it forward, as she never met a stranger. She was willing to help others before herself and was an animal lover and rescuer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, T.J. Burnes. Charlotte leaves behind a son, Thomas Berry of Hawley; her husband of 24 years William Harendt (Yogi) of Abilene; sister Shirley Wilson and husband Bill of Post; brothers Terry Hill and wife Elaine and Jimmy Hill of Artesia, New Mexico; Ricky Hill of Hastings, Oklahoma, Tommy Burnes and wife Sharyn and Taylor Burnes of Rush Springs, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many extended family members; Janet and Alan Bloomer of Roswell, New Mexico, Helen and Chad Hudson and Dorothy Rose Thuman of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mike Bunner of Somerville, New Jersey and the Cowboy Heritage Church in Clyde.
