Carolyn Jo Payne

Carolyn Jo Payne of Abilene, Tx passed away from this life and went to her heavenly home after a long hard battle with cancer on August 31, 2018. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her family. Visitation with the family will be 6-8pm, Wednesday September 5, 2018 at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St. Graveside services will be Thursday at 10am in the McBee Cemetery officiated by Pastor Randy Estes.

Carolyn attended Copper High School and retired from Walmart. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her through her illness and gave her peace.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Dale Payne, her parents, Joyce Marie and George H. Fiedler. She is survived by one son, Larry R Hodges and wife, Sharon, one daughter, Jamie Daniel and husband, Tracy. One brother George E. Fiedler and wife Pamela, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, uncle Darrell Stansbury his wife Sherry, several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends, as well as her beloved dog, Ginger.
