Bobbye Jo Hardin

Bobbye Jo Baillio Hardin, 85, of Abilene, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019.  Funeral services will be on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.  Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bobbye was born on June 7, 1933 in Colorado City, Texas to Herman and Imogene Baillio.  She grew up in Rotan and graduated from Rotan High School as the class salutation.  Bobbye married Joe Allen Hardin and together they had seven children.  Bobbye worked for Hendrick Medical Center for 27 years in the clerical offices until she retired at the age of 62.  She loved to cook and try new recipes.  She also loved to read and crochet.

Bobbye was preceded in death by her parents, her oldest daughter Jeanine Wharton, granddaughter Amber Thomas and sister Venetta Foster.  She is survived by her four sons and two daughters; Joe “Bubba” Jr. and Janice Hardin of Del Rio, Johnny and Candy Hardin of Belleville, Janis and Eugene Leathers of Abilene, Julie and Kathy Hardin of Abilene, James Hardin of Abilene and Jay and Donna Hardin of Baird; 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; as well as 5 nephews and many extended family members and friends.
