Bobbie Tate

Bobbie Nell Tate age 85, beloved wife and mother passed away on December 8, 2020 after a lengthy illness. Arrangements are being handled by Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.

Bobbie Nell was born in Corner, Alabama on July 7, 1935 to Ira and Flossie McMickens Campbell. She attended Corner schools and graduated from Corner High School in 1953. She met the love of her life Willard while attending Corner High School and they were married in 1954, the year after he graduated. They were blessed with two children, a son Mark in 1956 and a daughter, Elisabeth in 1960.

Bobbie was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She also was a supportive wife to her talented husband. When the family moved to Abilene, she began working for the Social Security Administration as a Caseworker. She was a longtime member of Hamby Church of Christ. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Willard as well as a brother Lynn Campbell. She is survived by her children Mark Tate and wife Celia and daughter Elisabeth Pringle and husband Rod, a brother, John Campbell and wife Francis, and a sister Jean White and husband MC as well as six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
