Bill Swindle was born at home on September 30, 1940, near Tuscola, Texas to David Cason and Ardelia Jane Atkins Swindle. He was the youngest of 10 siblings. He married the love of his life Patsy Heuermann on June 16, 1960. They lived happily together as best friends until his last day. He left this world peacefully at his home in Abilene, Texas surrounded by family. He was a wonderful husband who loved his family and extended family endlessly.
He spent many years working with International Harvester Trucks in sales and service. He worked his way up to management before retiring. He later opened his own automotive business in Sweetwater, Texas which enabled them to retire early. They then spent many precious years at Lake Coleman where they enjoyed time with family and met many good friends.
Bill is survived by his wife of almost 64 years Patsy, three adoring daughters; Pamala Evans and husband Paul, Connie Mayes, Cathy Collins and husband Tom. He was also grandfather to Adam Evans and wife April, Kyle Flanagan and wife Sarah, Katie Flanagan and wife Nikki, Bailey Collins, Devyn Logan, Blake Evans and wife Holly, Helena Endress and husband Dominik, Tommy Collins, Ethan Collins and 10 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind one brother Lee Swindle and wife Peggy, as well as several other nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Alpha Omega Hospice for providing the comfort and care necessary for his peaceful passing.
