Betty Ruth Weeth

Betty Ruth (May) Weeth was born to Ruth (Oldham) and Robert Edward “Ed” May on October 25, 1929, in Gorman, Texas. She graduated from Abilene High in 1949 and attended Baylor University. She married Charles Frederick “Chuck’ Weeth on August 7, 1950. Together they owned/operated Sanders Book Store in Westgate Mall. She died November 12, 2024, in Abilene, Texas, at age 95 of natural causes.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, older brother Billy May and husband Chuck Weeth. She is survived by her daughter Janet Weeth of Abilene, son George Weeth of Albuquerque, NM, 3 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted by Rev. Keller at the University Place Dining Room, 1250 E.N. 10th, Abilene, on November 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
