Betty Jo "Beebo" Reyes

March 23, 1954 — August 17, 2017

Betty Jo “Beebo” Reyes, 63, passed away on August 17, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. Betty Jo was born on March 23, 1954 to Wilma Rae (Exum) Callaway and James Wesley Callaway in Haskell, Texas and later moved to Abilene. She attended Elmdale Elementary and Eula High School. Betty Jo was an avid Elvis Presley collector and especially loved his gospel music. She also had a love for travel, often deciding to go at a moment’s notice. At twenty years old she started her family, which was her primary focus throughout her life. She briefly attended TSTC Abilene and Sweetwater with an interest in Computer Technology. However, when her first grandchild came around, she focused all of her time and energy on being a “Professional Beebo”. Betty Jo had an innovative mind and could turn the simplest thing into something extravagant; she was both crafty and clever. Her living legacy is her grandchildren, through her teachings they have all learned to see the beauty in all things.

Betty Jo was preceded in death by her father James Wesley Callaway, her brother James Laurence Callaway and brother in law Jerry Don Templin. She is survived by her mother Wilma Callaway, a sister Bonell Templin; daughter, Jennifer Wagner her husband Ted and their children, Isaiah and Baylee; son Johnny Reyes and his son Julian; daughter Christina Rollins her husband Aaron and their children Ciera and Savannah. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her very special friend Mr. “T”.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Bass and his office staff as well as Hendrick Hospice for their above and beyond service and compassion.

Visitation will be Friday, August 25, 2017, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Piersall Funeral Home, 733 Butternut. Graveside service will be Saturday, August 26, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Cisco, Texas. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.pbfuneraldirectors.com .
