Lou Curtis

Beebe Lou Curtis, 80 of Abilene, passed away peacefully in her home on May 16th, 2020. A visitation will be held Thursday May 21st at 1:00 pm with a service following at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St. Our capacity limit of 25% is 75 people and we request that all in attendance practice social distancing rules that are currently in force for the state of Texas. A graveside service will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Lou was born in San Diego, California on April 29th, 1940 to Clifford and Beebe Ratcliff. She married William Earl Curtis on March 7th, 1958 at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii. They moved to Abilene in 1976 where Bill worked for Haliburton and Lou worked at Abilene Bible Church where she was in charge of the children’s nursery plus children’s ministry for over thirty years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill on November 29, 2001 and her daughter Roni on December 30, 2013. She is survived by sons William Dean Curtis and wife Dana of Alvarado and James Kevin Curtis and wife Debbie of Olden.

Gram was blessed with three grandsons, four granddaughters and eleven great-grandchildren. Lou was an avid supporter of Abilene High Football and was dearly loved and will be missed by church members, friends, neighbors, and family.
