Barbara Casey Daniel

Barbara Casey Daniel, 83 of Abilene, passed away peacefully at her home on September 5 ^th , 2021.  A private graveside service will be held at the Necessity Cemetery in Stephens County.

Barbara was born to Leon and Zella Truesdell Casey on September 18 ^th , 1937 in Caddo, Texas in Stephens County. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1958 where she met the love of her life, Ron Daniel.  They married on June 2, 1956, which was Ron’s 18th birthday. For many years Barbara and Ron lived in Oregon where they raised their five children.  Barbara was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a wonderful Christian example to those she came into contact with.

In 2001, Ron and Barbara retired to Texas and have been active members of South 11th and Willis Church of Christ.

Surviving Barbara are her daughters; Elizabeth Phan of Sacramento, California, Suzanne Daniel, of Abilene, Ronda Lowe & Kirk of Colleyville, sons, Mark A. Daniel & Lisa, of Cross Plains, Matthew J. Daniel, & Tatiana, of Keller, twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a sister Toni Baker as well as many extended family members and close friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Ron and her parents.

The family wishes to offer their appreciation to Hendrick Hospice for their compassionate care of Barbara over the last few weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Barbara to the Christian Service Center.
