Aurelio V Murillo

October 14, 1926 — August 6, 2020

Aurelio Murillo, 93, beloved Father, was called to his eternal resting place on August 6, 2020. He entered this world on October 14, 1926 in Newton, LA, born to Benito and Trinidad Murillo. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Julia Ramon Murillo. His sons, Benito & wife Irene, Aurelio (Wayo), Salvador & wife Mary, daughters, Maria Murillo, Hortencia Murillo, Rebecca Murillo, his brother Celestino Chia of California and sister Lydia Hernandez of Abilene. He was blessed with 28 grandchildren and countless great-grandchildren.

Aurelio was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jose Murillo, Reyes Diaz, his sister Elvira Chia, son Edward Murillo, infant daughter Rebecca Murillo.

AV lived to hunt and fish, and later in life he loved sitting outside, listening to music and dancing with his daughters. His favorite things were coffee, Dr. Pepper, Burger King and Cookies. AV served in the Army, he was a rifle marksman and truck driver.

A rosary will be prayed beginning at 11:00 am with a service to follow in the chapel at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St on Tuesday, August 11th, 2020.  A graveside will be held at the Texas State Veteran Cemetery at Abilene at 1:00 pm.  The services will be officiated by Deacon Marc Main.  A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am in the chapel at the funeral home.
