Ramona Rae Lowry

Ramona R. Lowry, 49 of Abilene, passed away Friday August 13, 2010. A service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Piersall Benton Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St. A time of visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home following the service.

Ramona Rae Lowry was born December 1, 1960 in Abilene, Texas to Frank and Johnnie Jones Lowry. She lived in Abilene her entire life and was employed by Concepts of Care. Ramona was a member of 11th and Willis Church of Christ and was baptized there October 28, 2009.

Surviving Ramona are her parents, three sons; Ahjae Robinson-Lowry, Mario Lowry, and Matthew Lowry, a daughter, Tyanna Lowry, two sisters; Lynette William and husband Anthony, and Myrtle Kay Smith, a brother Frank Lowry Jr and his wife Tywanna and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family members and close friends. Ramona was preceded in death by one son, William Lowry.

The family would like to thank the 11th and Willis St. Church of Christ and special friends Jean and E.B. Dotson as well as her Aunt Katy Smith for the love and care they gave to Ramona and her family during the last several months.
