Dale "Gene" Denton

Dale “Gene” Denton, 69, of Rule, passed away at an Abilene Medical Center. Military Honors will be presented at a memorial services on Wednesday, June 23rd at 2:00 pm. in the First Baptist Church in Rule, Tx. Local arrangements were handled by Piersall Benton Funeral Directors.

Gene was born to Leroy and Joy Denton on December 12th, 1940 in Modesto, California. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years of honorable service to his country.

He is survived by his wife Doris, a son Wayne Skiles, and 4 daughters; Tasha Denton, Tamara Macnaughton, Karla Gresham and Karen Taylor, brother; Steve Denton, sister; Missy Henry as well as 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his parents. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
