Jeanine Wharton

June 28, 1952 — April 24, 2010

Jeanine Wharton, 57 of Abilene, passed away Saturday April 24th, 2010 at a local medical center. A service is scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday April 28, 2010 in the Highland Church of Christ Auditorium with a burial to follow at Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled from 6-8pm Tuesday evening at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St.

Jeanine was born in Rotan, Texas to Joe Allan Hardin and Bobbie Jo Baillio Hardin on June 28, 1952. After high school graduation she attended and graduated from South West Texas State University as a Respiratory Therapist. Jeanine has lived in the Abilene community for 40 plus years and has worked for Rhema Medical for 13 years and Hendrick Medical Center for 25 years as a respiratory therapist. She was a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care, the Texas society for Respiratory care and the National Board for Respiratory Care. Jeanine married Richard Carl Wharton on December 1, 1990. Jeanine was a faithful member of the Highland Church of Christ.

Jeanine is survived by her husband Richard, her mother Bobbie Jo Hardin, sons; Jon Christopher McBeth of Portland, Oregon and Jarrett Wharton of Cleburne, daughters; Cheri Sims, Brandy Croft, and Sara McBeth all of Abilene, Amber Thomas of Cross Plains, and Dakari Tanis of Big Spring, sisters; Julie Hardin of Abilene and Janice Leathers of Sanger and brothers; Joe Hardin of Del Rio, James Hardin of Tye, Johnny Hardin of Bellville and Jay Hardin of Abilene. In addition, Jeanine is survived by 15 Grandchildren and many extended family members and close friends. Jeanine was preceded in death by her father, Joe Allen Hardin, her grandparents Lester and Bea Hardin and Herman and Imogene Baillio.
