Kim Manuel

Kim Manuel 58, of Abilene passed away Monday January 11, 2010 at a local hospital. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 am Friday, January 15, 2010 at Piersall Benton Chapel, 733 Butternut St.

Kim was born in Abilene, Texas to Kenneth and Louise Manuel on October 17th, 1951. He attended Abilene schools and was a resident of Abilene most of his life. On December 31st, 1976 Kim married Patricia Baker. Together they enjoyed Kim's love of the outdoors and especially fishing. Kim served the City of Abilene at the Water Treatment Plant and at Kirby Lake as the Lake Patrol Officer. After retiring Kim and Patty moved to Florida until 2005 when they returned to Abilene to be closer to family.

Surviving Kim are his wife Patricia, a son Joshua Manuel and his wife Leah of Odessa, a brother; Gary Manuel and his wife Lori of Colorado, a sister; Cherry Lynn Ogburn and husband Wayne of Florida, an aunt; Cherry Gleason of Abilene, as well as a number of extended family members and friends. Preceding Kim in death were his parents.
