Billy Dean Gibson, 48 of Abilene, passed away peacefully Friday November 27th, 2009 at his home. A service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday December 1st at North Park Baptist Church with burial to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Piersall Benton Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St. A visitation will be held on Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Billy Dean Gibson was born January 15, 1961 in Anson, Texas to Calvin and Audie Mae Gibson. He was a life-long Abilene resident and attended Abilene schools. Most of his adult life was spent working in the oil field as a tool pusher for many different companies including Wind Tex and Patterson Drilling.

Preceding Billy Dean in death were his father, two brothers; Calvin Leonard Gibson and Robert Don Gibson and a sister Judy Ellen Gibson. He is survived by his mother, four brothers; Larry Dale Gibson, David Wayne Gibson and wife Cathy, Ronald Lynn Gibson and wife Sherry, and Donald Glenn Gibson, three sisters; Shirley Jean Case and husband Phillip, Wilma Kay Ervin and husband Bob, and Patricia Ann Zara and husband Gene, his life-long friend Mitch Smith, fifty-seven nieces and nephews and numerous extended family members and friends.
