Earl Leroy Redman, Jr 56, of Abilene passed away at a local medical facility on November 8, 2009. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, November 11, 6-8 pm at the Piersall Funeral Directors 733 Butternut Street. Services for Mr. Redman will be 2 pm Thursday at the 1st United Methodist Church 202 Butternut Street with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Earl was born to Earl and Esther Redman, May 8, 1953 in Waco, Texas. The family moved to Abilene in 1966 when Earl was in 8th grade. Earl graduated from Abilene High School in1971. He loved working on cars; and racing cars on the dirt track. He was an avid bowler and was an Abilene junior league, city champ. He also enjoyed working on video games. He volunteered with optimist club in Fredericksburg. One of his favorite activities was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Becky and his parents Earl and Esther Redman Sr. of Abilene. In addition he is survived by his sons Chris and wife Amber of Ft. Worth and Bryan Redman of Abilene and his daughter Mandy and husband Michael Campos of Abilene. He is also survived by brothers Dennis and wife Leslie of Dallas, Mike and wife Pam of Abilene, Tony and wife Kathy of Abilene. He will be greatly missed by his 3 grandsons, 4 granddaughters and the little granddaughter who is on the way. Earl will be cherished in the hearts and memories of a host of friends and family that he loved and helped throughout the years.
