Louis Portillo

Louis Portillo 64 of Abilene passed away at a local medical center on Sunday November 1, 2009. A Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday November 3, 2009 at St. Francis Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Masonic Section of the Abilene City Cemetery. A Rosary was held at the Piersall Benton Chapel, 733 Butternut St. on Monday, November 2nd.

Louis was born in Eden, Texas to Louiz and Fabela Portillo on March 30, 1945. He attended schools in Quail, Texas and on May 15th of 1965 he married Margarita Estrada Portillo and they moved to Abilene in 1966. Together they raised their two children Daniel and Maria in Abilene. Louis was a truck driver and he attended St Francis Catholic Church.

Preceding Louis in death were his parents and his wife. He is survived by his Son; Daniel Portillo and his wife Sona, his daughter; Maria Hunt and her husband Don and two sisters; Vicki Sparks and Luteria Cortez, Grandchildren; Christopher Whitney, Kristen, and Ashleigh, Roy, Joseph, April and Abren; friend and caretaker Tom Johnson, as well as many additional extended family members and close friends.
