Lyle Stephens

Lyle James Stephens, 52 of Abilene, passed away in his home on February 4, 2017.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the South Pointe Church, 3050 Buffalo Gap Road.  A visitation with the family will be on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.

Lyle was born on May 28, 1964 in Larned, Kansas to James and Lugene Stephens.  An Abilene resident for over 30 years, Lyle worked for the City of Abilene as a Sanitation Worker and attended the South Pointe Church.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lugene Stephens and his long-time girlfriend, Angie Valdez.  He is survived by his son, Chris Stephens and wife Olivia; brother Bill Stephens and wife Mardi; sisters Kathy Sedivy and husband Jerry and Mary Wheeler; first wife Sarah Stephens and eight grandchildren.
