Felipe Duarte

Felipe Duarte, 58, died Sunday August 9, 2009 at the University Medical Center, Lubbock Texas. He resided in Ft. Stockton, Texas prior to his death. There will be a visitation from 6-7:30 pm on Wednesday August 12th at the Piersall funeral home 733 Butternut Street. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday the 13th of August at the Piersall –Benton Funeral Directors chapel with Pastor David Gomez presiding. A burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Duarte was raised in the Cherokee Home in Cherokee, Texas and spent many summers in Abilene. He was raised in the Church of Christ and was baptized at the Russell Ave Church of Christ in Abilene on June 27th, 1964.


He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter Lydia Hernandez and her husband Daniel of Abilene, seven brothers, three sisters, 3 grandchildren, 3 Step-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
